How do I choose a model based on cycle intensity?

Models for medium flow periods
For women who change their pad or tampon every 3–4 hours. Mostly made from cotton and bamboo fibers, they are hard to distinguish from regular underwear.

Models for heavy flow periods
For women who change their pad or tampon every 2 to 3 hours. Models that absorb like 4 pads (45 ml of liquid) are ideal for women
who only have one heavy day, usually the second, which stands out from the rest.

Models for very heavy flow periods
For women who change their protection every hour or more often, as well as for nighttime, postpartum, or for incontinence.
They provide exceptional protection, made with 5-7 layers and are slightly thicker than others, yet still discreet, to offer absolute protection even during
heavy bleeding.

How do I choose the size?

Most Loona models are standard sizes. The most important measurement is hip width (across the widest part of the buttocks).
Some models have slightly smaller cuts, some a bit more relaxed, so it's important to follow the size guide.👉 The size guide is located with each product, above the offered sizes.
We recommend always checking and measuring yourself according to this guide, as it is tailored to the specific model.

What if I get the size wrong?

To determine the appropriate size, on each product page, you will find a size guide immediately above all the available sizes for that particular model.

You will also find instructions indicating whether the model is a regular, smaller, or larger fit compared to standard European sizes.

If you still have any doubts, feel free to contact us on Instagram or via email at info@loona.rs.

Generally, if you are between two sizes, we advise you to take the larger one to ensure comfort. This will prevent any concerns about leakage from the sides.

If the size still doesn't fit, and you haven't worn or washed the items, you can write to us to arrange an exchange. In that case, we will send a courier to pick up the item you have and then deliver the correct size to you. You will then have to pay one shipping fee of 400 dinars; we will pay the other one.

How do you wash Loona menstrual underwear?

Loona panties are simple and hygienic to wash, requiring no high temperatures or special treatment.

1. Rinse them with cold water immediately after wearing.
Cold water prevents blood from "baking" into the fibers and allows it to be easily rinsed out of the absorbent layer.

2. Wash them in a machine at 30–40°C with regular laundry.
Only add detergent (no fabric softener), as fabric softener can reduce absorbency.

3. Air dry them.
Tumble drying or high heat is not recommended.

Why wash this way?

Loona panties have multiple technical layers made of special materials:

The first permeable layer directs blood downwards but does not retain it — which is why it easily rinses out with cold water.

Absorbent layers distribute the liquid over a larger surface, preventing clotting and stains.

Antibacterial and breathable materials prevent bacterial buildup, so there are no unpleasant odors.

Therefore, no boiling, harsh chemicals, or anything complicated is needed — the panties remain clean, odor-free, and ready for reuse.

All materials are OEKO-TEX certified - completely safe for human health.
